This study examines the mediating role of Generative AI Adoption (GAI) in the relationship between Organizational Agility (OA) and Decision-Making Quality (DMQ) in Algerian economic organizations. Drawing on Dynamic Capabilities Theory, the Technology Acceptance Model, the Resource-Based View, and Organizational Information Processing Theory, the study proposes a framework in which organizational agility acts as an antecedent capability that facilitates the adoption of generative AI technologies and enhances decision-making quality.
Data were collected through a structured questionnaire administered to employees and managers in Algerian organizations. A total of 300 valid responses were analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with SPSS 27 and AMOS 25.
The findings reveal significant positive effects of organizational agility on generative AI adoption and of generative AI adoption on decision-making quality. The results further confirm a significant mediating effect of generative AI adoption in the relationship between organizational agility and decision-making quality. The study demonstrates that the effectiveness of generative AI depends on organizational readiness and agility, highlighting the strategic role of agile organizations in leveraging emerging digital technologies to improve managerial decision-making.
