Plagiarism and AI-Generated Content Policy
The Sankalpa: International Journal of Management Decisions is firmly committed to upholding academic integrity and originality in scholarly publishing. All submitted manuscripts must represent the authors’ original work and must be properly cited and referenced in accordance with accepted academic standards. Plagiarism in any form—including direct copying, substantial similarity without attribution, mosaic plagiarism, self-plagiarism, or redundant publication—is considered a serious ethical violation and is strictly prohibited.
Every manuscript submitted to the journal is subject to plagiarism screening using appropriate similarity-detection software at the editorial screening stage and, where necessary, at later stages of the review process. Manuscripts found to contain unacceptable levels of similarity, improper citation, or misrepresentation of others’ work may be desk-rejected, returned for correction, or rejected outright. In cases where plagiarism is detected after publication, the journal reserves the right to issue corrections, expressions of concern, or retractions, and to notify the authors’ institutions where appropriate.
With respect to AI-generated content, the journal recognizes the growing use of artificial intelligence tools in academic writing and research support. Authors may use AI-based tools for limited purposes such as language refinement, grammar checking, or formatting assistance; however, AI tools must not be used to generate substantive scholarly content, research data, analysis, interpretations, or conclusions. The intellectual responsibility for the manuscript must rest entirely with the human authors, who remain fully accountable for the accuracy, originality, and integrity of the work.
Authors are required to clearly disclose the use of any AI tools in the preparation of their manuscript, specifying the nature and extent of such use, where applicable. AI tools must not be listed as authors, as they cannot take responsibility for the work or meet authorship criteria. Any attempt to submit AI-generated or AI-assisted content without disclosure, or to use AI tools in a manner that compromises academic integrity, will be treated as unethical practice and handled in accordance with the journal’s ethical publishing policies.
By submitting a manuscript to The Sankalpa, authors affirm that their work is original, properly cited, and ethically prepared, and that any use of AI tools complies fully with these guidelines.
